Front Pages of the World

  1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? My favorite Newspaper front page is "The Post-Journal", published in Jamestown, New York USA because they did something that wont really be on a newspaper.
  2. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?  My favorite headline from the newspaper is "Carroll Homicides" It interest me because of the title and the way they have it in the newspaper.
  3. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? There are 4 stories.
  4. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. I noticed they all have 1 big picture witch its the main story, and mostly all have the same style of putting the stories.
  5. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. On My favorite front newspaper they have the mane story in a Kind of black square. They also have a bar code for the different types of phones.

Lenses and Photography Vocabulary

I would use a telephoto lens when I am ball game so I can get more light.

I would use a prime lens when there is not a lot of light and when i would want to see detail.

I would use a wide-angle lens when there is a huge family and I want to get all, or when I when I'm with a school band and I'm trying to get everyone.

Depth of Field (shallow and wide) -through which an object will produce a relatively distinct image.

Light (angle and intensity) -the sensation produced by stimulation of the organs of sight.

Shadows Diffusion -a reflection or refraction of light or other electromagnetic radiation from an irregular surface or an erratic dispersion through a surface.

Exposure -presentation to view, especially in an open or public manner.

Aperture (f-stop) -Also called aperture stop. An opening, usually circular, that limits the quantity of light that can enter an optical instrument.

Shutter speed -it is responsible for creating dramatic effects by either freezing action or blurring motion

ISO -was the indication of how sensitive a film was to light. It was measured in numbers. The lower the number the lower the sensitivity of the film and the finer the grain in the shots you’re taking.
